    On 1 June 2012, at the Polish Embassy in The Hague Mr Willem Dutilh, honorary consul of the Republic of Poland, was decorated with the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.

    On 1 June 2012, at the Polish Embassy in The Hague Mr Willem Dutilh, honorary consul of the Republic of Poland, was decorated with the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland . Mr Dutilh was awarded  this order by the President of the Republic of Poland for his longstanding commitment to the development of Polish-Dutch cooperation. The ceremony was conducted by Ambassador designate, Dr Jan Borkowski. In his speech, Ambassador J. Borkowski reflected on the contribution of consul W. Dutilh to enhancement of Polish-Dutch relations and emphasised his input to the project of promoting Polish-Dutch business relations by establishing the Dutch Polish Bussines Award. Mr W. Dutilh is the first and the longest serving Polish honorary consul in the Kingdom of the Netherlands since the political transformation in 1989.   He has fulfilled the function of honorary consul since 1999.
